The FANUC Turbo Blower A04B-0800-C025R is essentially a centrifugal compressor and forms the "heart" of the laser generator. It is used to rapidly pump gas through the exhaust pipe at speeds close to the speed of sound. This precise mechanism requires regular maintenance (oil changes) and overhaul or replacement when it reaches the end of its service life. Because the turbine operates at speeds of up to 50,000 rpm, it will eventually wear out mechanically. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) states a service life of 12,000 hours, but experience shows that this can be extended by up to 25%.
